For those without a pool in your backyard, it can become a little tricky to cool off on hot days. Bucks County is blessed with many community pools, which offer not only a great way to exercise, but also the possibility of some new friendships.
Quakertown Community Pool is open until Labor Day each year. There is a fee to use the pool, and discounted membership rates are available. The pool offers a children’s play area, special events, and lockers (you must bring your own lock for the lockers).
Oxford Valley Pool in Fairless Hills is also open through Labor Day. Season passes may be purchased to use the pool, or you may also purchase daily passes. They provide swim classes, programs such as Movie Night, Raft Night, and Senior Swim Time.
Fanny Chapman Pool in Doylestown has four pools plus a children’s wading pool. Memberships must be purchased, and may be purchased as individuals or family. Fanny Chapman offers swim lessons, a dive team, and many poolside activities.
