The best part about Downingtown is…
Downingtown is a small borough located in Bucks County. It has a population of almost 8,000, and is well-known for it’s school system, low crime rate, and quite high rate of home-ownership.
If you live in or near Downingtown, there are some great things to do throughout the borough:
In September, Downingtown hosts it’s annual Fall Fest. Local restaurants, entertainment and businesses all take part in this popular event, and residents enjoy mingling about all of the restaurants, shops, and enjoying stunt shows and music.
Several local businesses join together in October for Operation Military Christmas Stocking – collecting pocket-sized games, lip balm, hand warmers, candy, paperback books and much more to send to our troops overseas.
The borough of Downingtown also has annual Halloween and Christmas parades.
There are several great restaurants in Downingtown that are a favorite amongst both locals and visitors alike:
Italian food lovers may enjoy Avalon Bistro – which is known for it’s “Express Dinner For Two”, home-delivered meals, and chef-side dining.
A local bistro, Firecreek Restaurant offers filet mignon, crab cakes and duck as some of their menu choices.
The Coffee Cup is well-known for great breakfasts and lunches, such as their specialty “The Mess” – which is several meats such as bacon, ham, pork roll and sausage all mixed together with potatoes, onions and peppers.
